Dear colleagues,

I hope this message finds you well.

Together with Professor Prokopis Theodoridis (Hellenic Open University, GR), I am co-editing a special issue of the Journal of Agribusiness in Developing and Emerging Economies (JADEE), published by Emerald Publishing, entitled:

“Addressing Food Loss and Waste Across the Food Supply Chain.”

This special issue aims to explore the challenges and opportunities of food loss and waste (FLW) and welcomes research that bridges business models, consumer behaviour, marketing strategies, and technological innovation, with a strong focus (but not exclusively) on emerging and developing economies.

🗓 Submissions open: 1 October 2025
📅 Submission deadline: 30 April 2026

We warmly encourage you to consider submitting your work — and to share this call with your networks. Contributions that combine theoretical insight with practical agribusiness relevance will be especially valuable in helping shape the way stakeholders tackle food loss and waste across the supply chain.

We are sharing this call in advance so that you and your teams have sufficient time to plan and prepare your contributions!

With best regards,

Fanis
