4th November MACS G-20 International Workshop on Food Loss and Waste Prevention

I invite you to join the "International Workshop on Food Loss and Waste Prevention targeting Mediterranean countries" which will take place online on November 4th, 2021 from 09:00 to 17:00 CET online.

 
This workshop on food loss and waste is part of a series voluntarily organised by Thünen Institute after 2015 annual Meeting of G20 Agricultural Chief Scientists (MACS-G20) emphasized the decisive importance to reduce FLW. As result of that decision, the Collaboration Initiative Food Loss and Waste was established under German coordination. The Johann Heinrich von Thünen Institute, as German Federal Research Institute for Rural Areas, Forestry and Fisheries, hosts the coordinator. Since 2017 annual regional workshops are organised dedicated to the respective G20 presidency country - which is Italy in 2021 - and the neighbouring region. The present organisation team includes FAO Rome (Italy), UN Environment (France), University Bologna (Italy), University Tuscia (Italy), RSC talent (Spain) and Thünen Institute (Germany).
 
Stakeholders from Mediterranean countries along the food supply chain from agriculture to waste management (e.g., farmers, farmer associations), businesses, research, policy makers (local, regional, national government), NGOs, consumer (associations), social organisations (such as food banks, etc.) are welcome!
 
Registration is free of charge, the workshop will be held in English. Please register in advance by using this link.
