1/10/14 Google Hangout re: Food Donation Policy

Hi Everyone!

We have a key opportunity to impact the city's food donation policy! The Office of Sustainability has requested our support in contributing to the draft of their proposed policy statement. I am requesting we meet on a google hangout on this Friday. Let me know if you are available, and I will send instructions for how to join. 

TIME: 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM this Friday (RSVP in the embedded form below).

In reviewing the draft and your comments, it's clear that we need to propose a few key changes to the draft:

1) Providing guidance/steps for what donor organizations SHOULD do instead of just overwhelming them with what they cannot do.

2) Rethinking some of the restrictions so that food safety is maintained without making it impossible to get the actual work done. This will likely involve coming up with some out-of-the-box solutions and recommendations. 

Our goal for the meeting would be to come up with a list of recommendations for revision to send to Lucia Athens by next week.
