Hello Friends,

Thank you for all the good work you do in this world.

I'm excited to share with you Food Shift's most recent initiative.  Please see Food Shift's video and campaign below.

I'd love to have you be a part of this vision to reduce waste, feed the hungry, and provide jobs for formerly homeless residents in Alameda, CA.

Please let me know if you have any questions or ideas and thank you for your support!

The Alameda Kitchen
Dear Michael,

Food Shift has a new initiative with the goal of ensuring food is not wasted, people are fed, and jobs are created. This project is the Alameda Kitchen

The Alameda Kitchen will transform fruits and vegetables that would otherwise be wasted into nutritious, affordable food products and meals for low-income populations. Food Shift will be utilizing the kitchen at Alameda Point Collaborative (APC) - a housing community for formerly homeless individuals and families - and provide job training to their residents.

Food Shift just launched a crowdfunding campaign and it's been amazing to see the love and support coming in from all over the country. 150 people gave over $10,000 over the weekend! Now we need to triple that amount so we can reach our goal of $30,000 in 30 days.

Check out our campaign page to donate, see our video, look through our awesome prizes, and find sample text you can use to share with your friends, family, and co-workers.

Join us in this beautiful vision that is going to impact so many lives and contribute anything you can today!

Thank you for your support!

Approximately 34,000,000 pounds of edible food gets trashed while 1-in-4 people are at risk of hunger in Santa Clara County. Food Shift conducted research to identify food recovery challenges and community insights, as well as crafted suggested government action to improve the system.
