All,
November's Philly Foodspotting Eatup takes us across the river to The Pop Shop in Collingswood, NJ. They've been known for grilled cheese. An entire section of their menu features over twelve different varieties! The Pop Shop was also a venue for Bobby Flay's Throwdown in January of 2008. The Pop Shop's Calvert sandwich went up against Bobby Flay's 3B's.
At this eatup, we're going to get to try these two sandwiches, as well as three others, tomato soup, and fries. The following sandwiches will be served:
Collings - classic American cheese on country white
Haddon - Brie with caramelized apples and onions, ham, and grain mustard on wheat
3B's - Brie, goat cheese, applewood smoked bacon, and tomato on country white
Calvert - Jack cheese, roasted turkey, bacon, avocado, and house dressing on focaccia
Linden - American cheese, chopped Angus beef, caramelized onions and mushrooms on a grilled, split Philadelphia soft pretzel
The price is going to be $18.99 per person plus tax & gratuity. This will include all the sandwiches, tomato soup, and family style servings of the fries. Please RSVP your attendance here: https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=195650013845299
GETTING TO THE POP SHOP: There's kiosk/meter parking along Haddon Ave. If you live in Philly, The Pop Shop is less than a 5 minute walk from the Collingswood station on the PATCO line. Also, I'm sure other city folks may be carpooling! Feel free to organize those as well!

Hope to see you there!

Hi Brian,
This sounds great I am in. Had a great time at the HD crawl. Got a freind who lives right down the street from Pops will try to talk him into going too.
