Sanitizing Vegetable

Dear All,
 
Question: do I need to wash and sanitize Vegetable, or is it enough to just wash it?
 
just like to hear some input from others

There is a legal requirement in Dubai to 'disinfect' vegetables that are consumed without cooking

Just to add, a food grade sanitizer needs to be used from an approved chemical manufacturer. See attached PIS example : Diversey - Endbac Sanitising Tablets

All fruits & vegetables used for salad / ready to eat items which go directly to the customer need to be washed and sanitized prior to preparation. It is a CCP. Vegetables used for cooking need not be sanitized. Washing them well would be sufficient.
