Invitation To All Food Service Establishments for the Nutrition Star Rating Certification

 

The Food Safety Department of Dubai Municipality would like to invite all food service establishments to join the new programs that are designed to provide nutrition information to consumers.

This will include a rating and a certification process the restaurants and hotels can showcase to show their commitment to the community.

 

1.       Nutrition Star Rating Certification. This free certification is an additional service by Dubai Municipality to food service establishments. The rating system categorizes food service establishments as 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 Stars depending on the type, as well as the number, of food safety and nutrition information made available to consumers using the Foodwatch platform. The obtained Nutrition Star Rating will also appear on the QR Code of each entity. You can start your rating by entering information of just 5 foods or menu items. Please see attached document to know more about the program.

 

2.       For the Technical Experts who will be able to provide assistance to their respective food service establishment accomplish this certification, CPD points will be granted based on your contribution to the program.

 

3.       For those food service establishments that will achieve this certification, suitable recognition will be given.
