Marcus Evans Conference - Be careful

Dear All,

Some of you might have been approached by a company called Marcus Evans to attend or speak at a conference in Dubai on GMPs in Food Sector.

Most of the contact from this company is through emails and phone calls and never in person. They approach speakers with an address in Malaysia but the phone calls are normally from an unknown number. The person who contacted me is Juan Hann Ng and he is based in Pakistan and not in Malaysia as the address says.

A couple of years ago they announced a conference and pooled in speakers including Mr. Khalid Sharif and then cancelled the conference without even informing the speakers. Some people who registered for the conference lost the money. They charge something like USD 1500 for the conference and target the CEOs of companies. 

I tried calling their Dubai Office and the call gets diverted to some other country with no answer.
