Good Day To All.

What is the standard Height from floor to hang Fly Killers / Pest-O-Flash inside a commercial kitchen?
> Is it equal to or below 6 feet?

What are the right places to hang the same?
> Like on the walls, on floor or can one hang on top next to workstations like vegetable cutting area, butchery area etc.

Thanks.

The ideal height is about 2 to 3 meters above ground & about 6 to 10 meters away from the area to be covered.

Most suitable place is wall at entrance as lights are not attracts outside flies.

Shams

Dubai food code has specific requirements. You can download the code from www.foodsafe.ae

Fly killers can do more harm than good if you do not place them properly.  The food code will give you a better idea. Please get back to me if you are unable to understand the code.

If you place it at the entrance, it should be in a dark area on the side if the door. It should be seen from outside.

We are now discouraging the use of insect'blasters' inside the kitchen and prep areas. Glue board would be better

Hi Swaroop

Try to mount the unit in the darkest part of the room, away from competing sources of light,around 2.5m-3m from the floor, not above food contact surface and packaging.Avoid places where there is moving air, such as next to exhaust fans, air curtains etc... .If you are using the unit in a loft space, try to mount it as centrally as possible, this will give the largest area of coverage.
