In this month's Joint Food Ontology Workgroup call (July 28th 9am Pacific ) we’re having Michaela Kümpel from the Universitaet Bremen give a presentation on her work in visualization, AI and robotics with a food connection. As well Tarini and Damion will give an update on our food process modelling work. We invite all to JFOW who might want to join. I’ll record for those who can’t make it.

- Progress and prospects for the Compositional Dietary Nutrition Ontology (CDNO)
- Matching Food Items with FoodOn Identifiers in a Knowledge Base
- Challenges in Ontological Modeling of Ingredient Substitution in Food Recipes
As well a Fermentation Workshop/Hackathon will happen during 2 sessions totalling 3 hours. We are finalizing the content for that.
