are teaming up to teach a class on "Food as Medicine". This first class will be located in Evanston (at Evanston's commercial kitchen, Now we're Cookin').
According to Ellen (a colleague and friend here in Evanston), they hope that this will be just the first of many such classes. They are open to having classes at other venues around the Chicago area, if anyone wants to host a single class or perhaps a series. This is just the beginning of what seems like a fun and educational partnership.
Details of the class and registration are in the attached flyer. I've also copied biographies of both presenters.
FYI, Ellen was the chairperson of the Evanston Backyard Chicken Committee and is currently a member of the Evanston Environment Board. Ellen understands Food as Medicine and Food as Policy. I'm very glad she moved here from Seattle. I've copied her on this email in case anyone has questions about the class or suggestions about future venues.
Class size is limited.
