Food Matters Volunteer Event: Hot Bread Kitchen

Food Matters at Baruch invites you to participate in a volunteer event
on Monday, April 2 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at Hot Bread Kitchen. Space is

Hot Bread Kitchen is a not-for-profit artisanal bakery and workforce
development program for immigrant women. They provide training in
professional baking skills along with English, food safety and
business classes to all participants. After a training period, women
are supported into positions in New York’s culinary industry or they
receive assistance in launching their own microenterprise.

Volunteers will be creating packaging for products, stamping bags for
markets and packaging breads. It is also a great opportunity to learn
more about this organization, see the facility and taste their breads.
