Please find information below on how you can take action by calling
Stephen Harper and other world leaders today. Our collective will just
might be able to move this conference forward to achieve something
meaningful. Climate change is a human rights issue that affects us all.

Moment of Crisis: Copenhagen talks are failing but rich country leaders
can fix it!

This is a moment of crisis. World leaders are jetting into Copenhagen
for the last couple of days of negotiations but the talks are on the
verge of failure. Rich countries aren’t offering climate financing and
other vital measures that are central to any fair and binding deal.
Canada has been particularly stubborn. Only one thing can turn that
around: Stephen Harper must hear from you.
What can you do?
Mr. Harper is on his way to Copenhagen. This meeting can still be
successful if leaders show the necessary political will. Be a part of a
massive global push by phoning Mr. Harper now and telling him you expect
him to stop blocking the deal. Women and men around the world - those
most affected by climate change but least responsible - are counting on
us.
Mr. Harper could help create the deal we need. Give him a call.
Tell him we need a fair, ambitious and binding deal, and we need it
now.
Prime Minister Stephen Harper

Why call Mr. Harper?
Canada has blocked progress in the negotiations by refusing to move
from its weak emissions-reductions target. Canada has also refused to
support a long-term financing arrangement that would enable developing
countries to adapt to climate change and reduce their own emissions.
After you phone Mr. Harper, call another country and ask them to stop
blocking the deal.
