Greetings folks,
The Climate Change and Food Issues working groups are jointly meeting to discuss organizing some activities this spring ~ and need more volunteer support!

We're meeting this Wed (Jan 27th) at 12 noon at KWIC. Everyone's welcome.
Bring your ideas, a lunch and a friend.

Ideas Discussed at the last meeting include:
+Earth Day event at the Farmer's Market giving out heritage seeds, etc
+Participating in an Early Earth Day event (usually organized by Sustainable Trent..Date?)
+Community Event with Elizabeth May or Jennifer Clapp connecting food to climate change and with a gendered analysis (could fit with International Women's Day/Week or Earthy Day)
+Possibly tag an event to a working workshop in the Trent Garden ('taking away the distance' for food...)
+Film screening or discussion at KWIC
+Agreed Ptbo Earth Hour and Downtown Walk About not viable activities this year

hope to see you there!
julie
