Event Volunteer Opportunities for March:
1. International Women's Day Potluck Celebration - today! If you are able to lend a hand setting-up, please come to the St. Paul's Presbyterian Church Hall at 5pm today (Water & Murray Streets)
2. Trent Water Day - this Thursday March 11th from 10 am to 2pm in the Champlain College Great Hall at Trent University. Sustainable Trent has invited KWIC to table at this annual event (previously Early Earth Day!). If you can help out, please let me know with what times you are available. We especially need help to set up the table and display fro 10am and take it down at 2pm.
3. Seedy Saturday, March 13th from 1-4 pm at St. James United Church. If you would like to set up and host the KWIC table at this seed exchange & purchasing event, please let me know. Apparently over 600 attended last year's event.
4. World Water Day - March 22nd at the Canoe Museum from 10 am to 2:30pm. KWIC is hosting an information table in conjunction with our watershed ed workshop with Glen the Paddling Puppeteer. If you haven't seen Glen in action now is your chance as volunteers will be able to take in the keynote speaker and activities.
5. Peterborough Earth Hour - March 27th in the evening at downtown Peterborough. If a few folks are interested to organize and staff a table at this annual Peterborough event, let me know! I believe it wraps up around 8:30 pm and will get more details if there is interest. KWIC has sold small candles at past Earth Hour events...
Hope everyone is well! Thanks again....julie
