Tap Talk on Thursday, July 23:
“Tips and Tricks for Preserving Your Garden’s Bounty”

The public is invited to the League of Women Voters’ next Tap Talk at Common Fields, 545 SW 3rd Street, on Thursday, July 23, from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. A Trivia Game and prize drawing will start at 5:30 pm, followed by the presentation at 6:00 pm.

“Tips and Tricks for Preserving Your Garden’s Bounty” is the theme, and our presenter, Nellie Oehler, will share basic information about home food preservation. Oehler worked for OSU Extension for 50 years, developed the state Master Food Preserver program in 1980, and has written many publications relating to food safety. Her presentation will cover a wide range of topics, from safety tips for food preservation to how to become a Master Food Preserver. There will be plenty of time for audience questions.

Plan to come early or stay after the presentation to grab a drink and/or a bite to eat and visit with other attendees. All are welcome!
