Hi, Food Action Team,

I was contacted by a local resident with the following message:

“We have recently acquired a home in NW Corvallis with a very large, pre-loved garden, and we're looking for someone, or a group of someones, who would enjoy adopting this beautiful plot. It has been carefully tended up until last spring, but now needs fresh inspiration. The grounds cover 1/10 of an acre, is fully irrigated, includes seven raised beds, a grape arbor and a storage shed.”

She attached the following photo.

Please let me know if you or anyone you know may be interested in this opportunity.

Thanks,

Annette

I live within the traditional homeland of the Ampinefu Band of Kalapuya.  Following the Willamette Valley Treaty of 1855 (Kalapuya …Treaty), Kalapuya people were forcibly removed to reservations at either Grand Ronde or Siletz. Today, the Kalapuya live on tribal lands or tribal-ceded lands throughout the region. Many Kalapuya are active members of the sovereign nations of the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde or the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians. Kalapuya culture is alive.
