Hi, Food Action Team members,

 

We typically meet on the 2^nd Monday of the month at 5 pm. But since the Coalition’s Annual Meeting is scheduled for Monday, January 13, at 4:30 pm, we’ve re-scheduled this month’s team meeting:

 

Food Action Team Meeting

Monday, January 6, 2025

4:30 to 5:30 pm

 

I’d love to host this month’s meeting IN PERSON! I’ve been hearing from more and more people that they miss the personal connections that just aren’t possible on Zoom.

 

David and I live at 228 NW 28^th Street, just a couple of blocks north of the OSU campus. Please see attached map with directions.

I live within the traditional homeland of the Ampinefu Band of Kalapuya.  Following the Willamette Valley Treaty of 1855 (Kalapuya …Treaty), Kalapuya people were forcibly removed to reservations at either Grand Ronde or Siletz. Today, the Kalapuya live on tribal lands or tribal-ceded lands throughout the region. Many Kalapuya are active members of the sovereign nations of the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde or the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians. Kalapuya culture is alive.

I’m sorry that an in-person meeting on Monday evening doesnt fit with my other needs immediately after this meeting. I could only attend via zoom. I understand the desire to gather physically in community, but this isnt a time that works for me. I send my virtual hugs and well wishes to you for ‘25.

My boss mentioned that she was asked to put in a bid for catering the event, I work for Honeybrine, and we operate The Officer's Club in Adair.

Thought you might mention it to her, and maybe it could lead to future partnerships or events.
