Subject: Quarterly Gathering is October 13th - PLEASE RESPOND

Dear Friends of Sustainability,

The next Sustainability Coalition Quarterly Gathering is coming up soon, and we hope you’ll be part of it!

Mark your calendar for Monday, October 13, from 12 noon to 1:30 pm at the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library.

We hope you’ll join us for lively presentations by

  • Wendy Byrne – SAFE (Streets Are For Everyone) Corvallis
  • Gretchen Houchin – Peak Heat Pumps and Electric
  • Ilene McClelland – Vina Moses Center
  • Patty Day – Food Action Team

Participate in stimulating dialogue with other attendees who are helping to create a sustainable community, and enjoy delicious refreshments from First Alternative Co-op.

This is also a great opportunity to network with representatives of our partner organizations who are working on various aspects of sustainability – environmental, social, and economic.

Please respond with a simple “yes” or “no” by Wednesday, October 8, to let us know if you plan to attend.

The Quarterly Gatherings are always fast-paced, informative, and very inspiring.  We hope you’ll join us on October 13th!

With special thanks to our Quarterly Gathering sponsor, G. Christianson Construction,

Annette

I live within the traditional homeland of the Ampinefu Band of Kalapuya.  Following the Willamette Valley Treaty of 1855 (Kalapuya …Treaty), Kalapuya people were forcibly removed to reservations at either Grand Ronde or Siletz. Today, the Kalapuya live on tribal lands or tribal-ceded lands throughout the region. Many Kalapuya are active members of the sovereign nations of the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde or the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians. Kalapuya culture is alive. To learn more, please check out the online Champinefu Webinar Series, plan a trip to the Chachalu Museum and Cultural Center, and/or make a gift to our Champinefu Fund.
