Just a quick note to let you know we're out here among
the tumbleweeds. :) I use fontypython in my typesetting work
all the time; it's a vital tool and I don't have anything
else that comes close. I just tend to not pay attention to beta
releases until they're stable, that's all. :) But I
downloaded the new release, and have to say the new look is
excellent, and the extra features much appreciated.

I especially like the easy open of gucharmap/kfontview. I
want to note what might be a slight bug: on my system; I
didn't get the "character map" button until I actually
opened and closed the settings window. Then the character
map buttons opened and worked as expected. This is really a
splendid feature! And I'm very glad you didn't code up your
own replacement. Wouldn't be the UNIX way.

I also really appreciate the excellent help file. That's how
I figured out how to get the character map buttons up.
What font do you use for all those gorgeous ornaments? Is it
free?

Anyhow, thanks very much for the great work.

Thanks again. I tried hard on that help file.

So, they are fairly free. I like that series of fonts a whole lot!

Go well,
