I see there are some rts files in the repo: https://github.com/fonttools/fonttools/tree/master/Doc/source
But couldn't find the output anywhere online, no documentation links on the Readme or pypi

Hi Mattia,

Alas, the documentation you see in the "Doc" folder is incomplete and is not published anywhere for now.
There were some efforts in that direction (e.g. https://github.com/fonttools/fonttools/pull/1333).
We would love to have better and more accessible documentation, we just didn't get enough resources dedicated to this yet.
For now, I'd recommend you look at library's source code or other client code using the library.
Feel free to ask any question here on the mailing-list, on the Github issue tracker or on the Gitter chat room (https://gitter.im/fonttools-dev/Lobby).
