HiI recently updated my Nitro to 11.0.7.411 from an older version (I think it was 9 or 8). I have set up a quicksign signature using a file (jpg) my issue is when i inset the signature it will not let me resize and move it. In the other version I could resize, move and then click 'apply' to lock the signature in.
1. Apply your signature via QuickSign
2. Click the Edit tool
3. Click the edge of signature frame to resize the signature -OR- Click on signature to grab and move it -OR- press and hold the rotate icon to rotate

Not sure if this is too late, but I have an idea of what the problem might be- the default signature appearance (or the profile you were using) may have changed. If you are seeing a signed document with no details, it's possible that there's a barebones appearance profile configured.
The easiest way to check this is to go to File, Preferences, Digital Signature. You'll see all of your appearance profiles listed here, with a preview for each. You can make any changes you need to here.
I created a pdf in Pro 13.26.3.305 and then used Request Signature to map fields for customer to sign via Nitro Sign. My customer is getting an error after submit is clicked. Customer is not using a Nitro online account, they are doing this as a guest.
I installed the new version, now running 13.33.2.645. This has fixed the problem. However, is it correct that any pdf's created in the old version will not work with cloud signature if the file is opened and then we attempt the process with the new version? Meaning the pdf has to be rendered by the new version of Nitro and then sent to cloud signature in order to work?
Update to this ticket. Right after the upgrade we tested an it worked as expected. Later in the day we sent a new pdf to a customer to sign via cloud and they received the signature failed message as described above so we seem to be back to not being able to request signatures via the cloud service?
I tried creating a new pdf, the request signature. Prepare the signature for signature and send for signing. Use the link in firefox. Followed the signing steps and hit submit. Same error, signature failed, processing error. Tried in chrome also, same error. Tried the link on a separate computer, same error. It appears I can not get cloud signature to work?
When we create signatures we use 4 fields: Signature, Name, Title, Date (user can't change). What I found is that if I map Signature alone or Signature and Name I can successfully sign the pdf in the cloud.
I purchased a couple of licenses of the Nitro 12. I noticed when adding new signature to Quicksign, the signature background retain the dark/grey shade from my signature picture file. I also have an old version of the Nitro Reader that would help remove the background dark/grey shade. How can i get my Nitro 12 to do the same as the Nitro Reader? Or this is feature no longer available? Thanks.
In QuickSign, the image file will be uploaded as it is. The manage QuickSign window does not have the option to change the attributes of the image. Even if the signature is already placed on the document.
I am uploading a .jpg file for the signature to QuickSign Manage Signature. I know the dark/gray shade background is from the picture file. I took the picture of the signature from a white paper using my iphone. The dark/gray shade is the shadow from taking the picture. The reason I ask is because I also have an old version of Nitro Reader installed (probably 2012). This Nitro Reader will automatically remove the dark/gray shade background of the signature when I add the file in QuickSign Manage Signature.
The Nitro Pro QuickSign does not have the option to change the image attributes of the signature.
What you could do is to edit the image of your signature first using an image editing software before uploading it in QuickSign.
I end up googling and found =transparent to make the signature background transparent. This sort of accomplish what I need with extra steps involved. However, I don't understand why the old Nitro Reader version automatically clear the signature background but Nitro Pro does not. I see this as a step back in feature availability. The main reason I was aware of Nitro Pro was finding/using the free version of the Nitro Reader signature.
I have a user with Nitro Pro license and is receiving an issue with quicksign when she tries to create a signature. She receives " Unable to save changes, the quicksign profile is in use by another application.
In order for me to further assist you with your concern, could you please send me a private message and provide the following?:
-The serial number of your Nitro Pro. This matters because our business installers are different from the online ones.
-Nitro Pro build (format is 12.X.X.X, e.g. 12.0.0.112) you are working with. You can find this out by clicking on 'About Nitro Pro' under the Help tab (format is 12.X.X.X, e.g. 12.0.0.112) or you can go to Control Panel > Programs and Features.
When I click the "Quick Sign" button and then "Create New Signature", I try to create a signature using one of the 4 options (draw, from file etc"). Once I draw or browse for a file, it shows the signature in the preview box. But when I then click ok, the whole Create New Signature box closes, without saving the signature.
2. Reboot the computer
3. Repair Nitro via the Control Panel > Programs and Features
4. Open Nitro > File > New
5. Create a new quick sign signature using the Draw function and place it on the new/blank PDF.
However I was able to create a signature using Draw, but when I tried to create a signature using the "From File" option, the same problem has occurred. It didn't save the signature and I now can't save a signature using any of the 4 options.
By adding a Digital Signature, please note you are securing a file and its contents and combining files basically changes the file. This is why the Digital Signature is no longer applicable in the new combined file. It's like having a signed document and adding pages that will make the signatures invalid.
The same behavior will apply if you want to insert and add/remove pages from a PDF file with Digital Signature, however they are not meant to be transferred and adjusted outside of the document. If a Digital Signature was placed on a file and then the file is changed in any way, the Digital Signature will become invalid as well, since it's nulling the original contents before signing.
It makes sense to NOT be able to modify a document after signatures have been entered, but this puts a lot of pressure on the creator of the document to void out the current document, then make their changes, then start over from the beginning.
ANOTHER option might be for Nitro to prompt the creator that ALL signatures and data will be removed and voided if ANY changes are done. This should not be a problem because all of the markups would still be active, and the creator could make their changes, then resubmit for signature.
The issue comes when the clients sign the documents; their signature is either sideways, doubled up (ie two lines in stead of one like first name on top of the last name) or just so small you can't read it even though the box is rather large. Also, one cannot resize the box after they sign, and if you are are able to edit it, the signature, when enlarged, gets so distorted it's completely illegible.
Why is there no consistency with the signature other than when the IW "types" the name in. We've had to resend documents or have the client come in to the office to sign them because of this issue and I have yet to find a way to fix it on our end.
Because of this, I am going to have to look for a new signing company. But I wanted to check here first to see if there was something I'm missing or if this is giong to continue to be an ongoing issue.
Thank you for your time.
Thank you for the resposne Allain.
I've tried using Firefox, Edge and Chrome. I've tried using the "default" signature box size, resizing the boxes to fit the signature line on the form, etc.
From what I've seen, my personal experience, is when the box is elongated, the signature will look all scrunched up in the left hand corner. When the signature box is left to it's default size, sometimes the signature is so small you can't do anything with it, including resizing it. It appears to be only when the signee "writes" the signature (ie using a finger, stylus etc).
When the signatures come back like that, and I have to have the document resigned, I make sure to ask what kind of device they are using. It has been evenly split between Android phones and Iphones. Those with PC's do not seem to have this issue.
I also see a lot of the signatures rotated to a 45 degree angle on the left hand side of the signature box, especially when the box is elongated horizontally.
Anyone who types their signature in doesn't seem to have this problem, which makes me wonder if the image of the signature is being distorted when the signee submits the signature.
I really like Nitro, but the partners get upset when we have to resend a document to e-sign because of these strange issues.
If it would help, perhaps I could redact a few documents with the odd signatures and send them to you to review?
Thank you again for the reply.
