I just got off the phone with Mark and got signed up. My name is Dave Garner and I am an old useless retired guy who has been flying RC for about a year now. I typically fly at Livermore and Catlin. My current favorite airplane is this scratchbuilt Nutball. You can view a Youtube video of it here
Been thinking it might be fun to find someone with a similar interest in this type of airplane.

This is Nick, my son and I are usually driving our RC trucks at the park when we see you. Just saw you the other day flying at Livermore.

Hey Nick! Thanks for that. What I would really like to do is find an RC'r who would be interested in building/flying a nutball similar to mine... you know maybe a little formation flying, that kind of thing.
Looks like there is very little traffic on this forum but thought I would give it a try.

Hi Dave,

I've met you out at the park a few times as well. I've seen you out there quite a bit recently (even flying your new plane) when I drive by the park, but haven't had the time to go out and fly myself. I don't necessarily need another plane, but I'd be willing to take out one of my smaller planes if you want to fly with someone.

Of course, I remember you well. Its been a long time since I have seen you out there but its my best guess you are a whole lot busier than I am!
That would be great to get together sometime. Since I am 'old and useless' I will leave it up to you when that might be as I am free most any time.

Dave - I've got a Simple Delta scratch built out of EPP. It's similar in concept and performance to the Nutball. I'll go flying one of these with you. Just post here a day or two before and if I'm around I'll go flying.
