Dear Friends
I hope you are all well and that the children are all settled into the new school year.
I am sorry I haven't been in touch for a while -the summer came and went and I was either trying to avoid talking to the papers / or in a battle with Ofsted over the Inspection Report which is frankly rubbish and after making a complaint they are changing a few things-I asked that my name be removed since the Inspector was only speaking to Bally Gill and she clearly had no idea or what to say to him other than using my name if something was not right. I find it bizzare our standards were so low YET the year 6 SATs results were outstanding and no matter what Oftsed have said I know the staff worked really hard to do the best for every child despite NO real investment or support.
The real reason why the school closed? -In my view.
1. The UKBA had a complaint made by a former member of staff regards the Chinese students being unsupervised and accessing info in the IT suite.
2. I investigated and the complaint was made when the member of staff knew there was no teacher for the Chinese- Bally never replaced David Eden -so who is to blame.?
3. I believe the complaint was not correct as the Chinese students English was never that good and the timing and accusation do not seem correct.
4. The UKBA pushed Ofsted to investigate -Bally Gill never employed enough staff and so when Ofsted in no one around with loads of exam students
5. Bally Gill thought she could get rid of a few people -buy the school on the cheap and ut more Chinese in -HOWEVER
6. UKBA did not reissue an International License-Chinese pull out-Bally pulls out and Blames Dheila Dayah.
On to personal matters-I am working part time in Corby supporting Year 6 with English and Maths for their SATs -I may do private tuition once I get to grips with the new expectations for the SATs.
From Oct 7th I am taking my pension early so I will be semi retired.
Confidentially= Arum has I think been completely ignored regards his needs and beoing affected turned away from a lot of schools BUT after a lot of running around and e-mails and going back into school to collect papers Arum is now at St Crispins.
I felt with a number of children going there he would feel more at ease as there would be faces he knows. So I am pleased that it was a good result.
Arums dad has taken legal advice and he believes he has a strong case to take Sheila Dayah to court over deposits not being returned-I cannot get involved but if you want to find out more or perhaps support rums dads work and case then please e-mail him on
Please say a big hello from Mr G to the kids-tell them to work hard and make me proud and I hope to catch up soon - I am to try organise a Monti get together for as many staff and parents alike at some point maybe before Xmas- even if its just a drink etc.
I am still trying to sort out the bank account and will update Helga and Japrak what comes of it asap.
My love and best wishes to you all
