Hello,

I offered to help with lighting for the panto but it is going to be very difficult for me to meet beforehand to be 'trained' by Barbara due to work travel commitments.

Can I ask whether there are any volunteers to take on the role of stage light assistant director? ;-)

If someone else can help as well, I am happy to support during the actual events.

You would need to coordinate with mrs kurji and Barbara to plan a time to learn how to use the lighting machine.

So sorry,..... But I can still do the mulled wine (or non alcoholic version which tastes great as well) :-)

Dear all,

just an update to tell you that all things are set in motion now.

Ms Kurji has provided me with a script and I will start to look at the lightling this Thursday.

Acording to Ms Kurji and Ms Gogerty the scenery has been started and will be finished in time. No help is needed. It will be basic but the children will help make stars and spaceships. Looking forward to seeing this.

The decorating of the school and chaple has been moved from 1st December afternoon to the morning. I hope that people can still make it.

My husband discovered that he won't be available on Monday 8th to do the filming but Deena kindly agreed to fill in form him. Thank you once again.

And I have just spoken to Russle who was most thankful for the invitation and the money raise. He will attend the play on the evening of the 16th with his wife and we will be presenting him with a cheque over £1000 at the end of it.

All we need now is the letters going out to invite the whole school.

Dear All,

there has been a slight confusion over the decoration of the chaple.

At the last meeting it was decided that Folms would meet to decorate the chaple on Monday 1st afternoon.

Subsequently a letter has gone out to invite every parent to help with decoration on Monday morning.

I falsly assumed that included the decoration of the chaple.

Apparently the invitations is only to decorate the school, not the chaple, which is still a Folms job.

I personally also have a meeting on Monday morning (since we initally said Monday afternoon), but I will try to be at the school around 12.00 - 12.30.

There isn't very much to do. in the chaple. Decorations are kept in the PE office and include two artificiall trees, that go right and left on the stage, with lights.

There are some garlands to go around the banister and if we have lights left over I was going to put them on top of the curtains on the right and left hand side.

I am happy for people to make a start in the morning if you want, or wait for me in the afternoon.

I just didn't quite fancy to be the only one coming at 12.00 and then having to do the chaple all on my own.

So, can I please have a show of hands of who is going to come and what time on Monday so we can plan, who and how and when we do the chaple.

I am able to come on Monday morning starting from 8:30 when dropping Christian off, unless it's too early? Will have to leave around 11-11:30 maybe a bit later.

Hi,

I can start 8.30 too and stay till 12 pm as I have a meeting at 1 pm but can be back later around 3 pm if needed.

I think we can start in the chapel and do what has to be done there and then move on to the school as there are going to be teachers and kids decorating the school anyway I suppose. The older children can help in the chapel as they did during the Halloween disco decoration.

I can give you a ring Barbara when my meeting has finished and in case there is still work to do I´ll come back to finish it.
