Dear Parents
I thought with this being the official day the new school opens and Montessori closes I would just write a quick few words which I hope will be passed on to any parents not on the contacts list. It is also quite appropriate seeing as OFSTED were at the school yesterday and I think today. Bally Gill has apparently told staff and the inspectors she is only an Acting Principal and that a new Head has been advertised for. No comment regards that but I have to say Bally Gill has really pulled a fast one over many peoples eyes.
I want to say a massive thank you to you all and to the children -you have all been so supportive to me and the other staff at the school and I am eternally grateful.
After my 30th year in education I leave the profession a little sad at the way Monti was basically closed, cleared out, started again-rebranded etc etc but I think of the children and the black cloud quickly goes away.
I think my first two pupil showrounds were Dhruv and Christian - I look at how much they have developed academically and socially and morally and it shows that Monti did do something right. All the children were great to get to know and watch develop-I hope you will all try and keep in contact with me and I will-all be it distantly- watch how all the children grow and I hope they remember Mr G in the years to come and that they look back on their time at Monti with fond memories. A very sad day for LMGS but onwards and upwards for the children.
I hope you all have a wonderful summer and that the new academic year and in many cases new schools prove to be great.
My kindest regards to parents and children.

Thank you for your lovely message-my love and best wishes to you and family.

Dear Parents
Many thanks for all your kind words.
It has been a real pleasure and joy to watch the children develop at Monti and it sounds now as though nearly all children have been moved to new schools. I think in light of the uncertainty of this new takeover and their ability to invest, bring in new staff and attract more children, parents have to look at viable alternatives. I wish all of you the very best now and from September working with your chosen new school.
The biggest problem with Monti was the rumours and lack of investment in people and the building. It has been a very tough 2 and a half years in which I have seen a decline in numbers which has led to the Dayahs selling and Bally Gill seeing an opportunity to keep a job for herself and her secretary. Ofsted have been in this was not a full inspection but a Safeguarding concern -caused by a parent or parents raising a concern regards the number of adults in the school this term-(examinations) - and the lack of staff to cover classes. One day this term I was expected to open the school, cover the school office, drive a mini bus, teach the KS3 class and cover the Chinese students. This sort of thing was almost a daily occurrence. It was caused by lack of staff and despite numerous meetings with Bally Gill this situation was never resolved and as staff left one by one it meant more covering by staff and I. I believe it is the same situation now and will be till July 15th and maybe beyond. I understand a new Head teacher is being looked for and new staff BUT Bally Gill has never paid the correct amount of salary so I am sceptical whom will be employed.
Please remember that when the Ofsted report becomes live, should you choose to read it I had no part in this inspection, I had no phone call I had no request for data or to meet or chat to an inspector-I am sure any issues raised will be blamed on the outgoing Head teacher and was not able to speak to the inspector.
Regards my own position-I have been approached by a Head teacher/friend to do some class teaching/support for year 6 classes-part time starting from September and I want to go back to my roots-teaching-and leave the Head teacher responsibility to someone younger and perhaps with a lot more energy.
Just to make this clear to everyone- had I been approached regards a drop in hours, workload, responsibility and salary I would still now be at Monti but this decision was not mine to make and I do hope all parents realise that-I don't think this has been handled correctly and I do think we could have taken the school forward but that's for someone else now.
Again thank you one and all for your kind words and please keep in contact and let me know how the children are getting on at their new schools-Always use me as a reference point for the children and if you have any concerns in the future and think I might be able to help don't hesitate to contact.
Regards Aleks G
