Dear Parents

I thought with this being the official day the new school opens and Montessori closes I would just write a quick few words which I hope will be passed on to any parents not on the contacts list. It is also quite appropriate seeing as OFSTED were at the school yesterday and I think today. Bally Gill has apparently told staff and the inspectors she is only an Acting Principal and that a new Head has been advertised for. No comment regards that but I have to say Bally Gill has really pulled a fast one over many peoples eyes.

I want to say a massive thank you to you all and to the children -you have all been so supportive to me and the other staff at the school and I am eternally grateful.

After my 30th year in education I leave the profession a little sad at the way Monti was basically closed, cleared out, started again-rebranded etc etc but I think of the children and the black cloud quickly goes away.

I think my first two pupil showrounds were Dhruv and Christian - I look at how  much they have developed academically and socially and morally and it shows that Monti did do something right. All the children were great to get to know and watch develop-I hope you will all try and keep in contact with me and I will-all be it distantly- watch how all the children grow and I hope they remember Mr G in the years to come and that they look back on their time at Monti with fond memories. A very sad day for LMGS but onwards and upwards for the children.

I hope you all have a wonderful summer and that the new academic year and in many cases new schools prove to be great.

My kindest regards to parents and children.

Hi Aleks,

We were absolutely horrified when we heard what happened to you all. We would have done anything to send Daya back to the Monti school - it was somewhere she loved, felt loved, and flourished. We will always look back fondly (and sadly) to your lovely school, and hope retirement brings a new chapter of happiness for you. Please pass on our best wishes and heartfelt gratitude to all the staff there. We cannot thank you enough for the what you did for Daya - you are all so wonderful.

With much love, Sukhdeep and Michael (Daya's mum)

Hi Alex
This is really sad to see this happend to you and the school. As you are aware Xavier loved Montessori and so did I and my wife. If at any point you need my support for anything regarding what’s happened please do not hesitate to contact me.
I could see this was going to happen a few months back, which is why I pulled Xavier out. You did such a great job with the school and you do not deserve to go through this. We only put Xavier into Montessori after we met you and Jill. Do you know where Jill has gone??

Please keep in touch and Xavier is doing well at his new school.

Thank you for all your support.
Zunaid and Sidra.

Hi Zunaid

Many thanks for your kind words and I am so pleased Xavier is doing well.

Jill is working at a care home in Wigston-part time-she is really enjoying it and I will pass on your best wishes to her.

I will be pop-ing into Bellas party tomorrow afternoon so if you are there I will have a catch up.

Kindest Regards

Dear Aleks,

It was very sad to see Montessori being replaced with Allandale. It does not feel the same any longer. For us your departure was the last straw and we took Ethan to another school before the end of the year. Teachers in his new school told us Ethan was more advanced in areas compare to his new classmates that is credit to the teachers at Montessori. Thank you so much for everything. You have been really great!

It is funny how Mrs Bally keeps giving different information and changing her mind along the way, especially after Ofsted visit shall we say.. A new headmaster? Interesting.. She told us that we could carry over the overpaid fees/deposit into summer clubs but in the latest letter it says otherwise. They are not trustworthy at all.

I went to Schoolwear solutions in Oadby to buy new school uniform for Ethan. They had been trying to speak with school, leaving messages, nobody called them back. They were not told that Montessori was becoming Allandale. She found out from me and wasn't pleased. She said they had still lots of Montessori uniforms. Looking at the bigger picture so many people made a loss not only parents because of this unethical business practice that owners seem to adopt. Soon or later something bound to happen.

Thank you again Aleks for everything you have done for the school and the kids and see you around soon.

Best wishes from Yaprak and Helge

Dear Aleks,

I feel compelled to email you to express our utter frustration at recent developments at LMGS which coerced us to take Taha out of the school earlier this year. We were flabbergasted at the callous and disparaging manner in which you and your staff have been treated. There has been a palpable lack of ethics and scruples sadly, with the welfare of the children being quite low on the corporate radar.

As you may know, we enrolled Taha at LMGS when he was aged 3 and save for a short period when he relocated abroad, he has been in regular attendance at the School. However, over the last few months, we felt that the academic excellence and environment had deteriorated to the point where LMGS was haemorrhaging badly and in need of urgent remedial actions.

We do feel, however, that your staff and yourself have been exemplary and imparted quality education in difficult and challenging times. The sterling and meritorious approach that you have always adopted is to be commended and is a hallmark of your integrity.

You will be pleased to learn that Taha is flourishing at his new School. We are indebted to you and your staff for giving him a solid pragmatic foundation to build upon for the future.

With kind regard and best wishes,
Azher and Saadia Mirza (Dr)

Dear Mr G,

We would like to add our appreciation to you and the staff as the Montessori chapter finally comes to an end.

When we enrolled Christian in the Montessori school in January 2014 I believe he was the very first pupil to join after you became headmaster. The nearly two years Christian spent at the school were incredibly beneficial to him and the experience will no doubt stay with him for the rest of his life. Miss Deol, Mrs Perry, Mr Bennett, Mrs Kurji, Jill, Nadia and your good self, among several others, have all been a fantastically positive influence on him and we will all remember you all very fondly for years and years to come.

Christian moved to St Crispin school at the start of the Spring term and he has continued to thrive here; in fact he was awarded prize for the top student for his year at a ceremony yesterday. Fortunately, children of his age can adapt fairly quickly to new situations and Christian's excellent grounding at the Montessori school helped tremendously in that process.

We are very sorry that your teaching career had to end on this sour note but we wish you all the very best for the future. We think you presided over a wonderful staff and we would certainly have committed to the school long-term had the owners not been so careless and callous in their dealings with both staff and parents. None of us deserved that sort of treatment but hopefully we can now all move forward and remember the good times, rather than dwell on the bad.

With our best wishes to everyone,

Rodney and Carolina

Dear Parents

Many thanks for all your kind words.

It has been a real pleasure and joy to watch the children develop at Monti and it sounds now as though nearly all children have been moved to new schools. I think in light of the uncertainty of this new takeover and their ability to invest, bring in new staff and attract more children, parents have to look at viable alternatives. I wish all of you the very best now and from September working with your chosen new school.

The biggest problem with Monti was the rumours and lack of investment in people and the building. It has been a very tough 2 and a half years in which I have seen a decline in numbers which has led to the Dayahs selling and Bally Gill seeing an opportunity to  keep a job for herself and her secretary. Ofsted have been in this was not a full inspection but a Safeguarding concern -caused by a parent or parents raising a concern regards the number of adults in the school this term-(examinations) - and the lack of staff to cover classes. One day this term I was expected to open the school, cover the school office, drive a mini bus, teach the KS3 class and cover the Chinese students. This sort of thing was almost a daily  occurrence.   It was caused by lack of staff and despite numerous meetings with Bally Gill this situation was never resolved and as staff left one by one it meant more covering by staff and I. I believe it is the same situation now and will be till July 15th and maybe beyond. I understand a new Head teacher is being looked for and new staff BUT Bally Gill has never paid the correct amount of salary so I am sceptical whom will be employed.

Please remember that when the Ofsted report becomes live, should you choose to read it I had no part in this inspection, I had no phone call I had no request for data or to meet or chat to an inspector-I am sure any issues raised will be blamed on the outgoing Head teacher and was not able to speak to the inspector.

Regards my own position-I have been approached by a Head teacher/friend to do some class teaching/support for year 6 classes-part time starting from September and I want to go back to my roots-teaching-and leave the Head teacher responsibility to someone younger and perhaps with a lot more energy.

Just to make this clear to everyone- had I been approached regards a drop in hours, workload, responsibility and salary I would still now be at Monti but this decision was not mine to make and I do hope all parents realise that-I don't think this has been handled correctly and I do think we could have taken the school forward but that's for someone else now.

Again thank you one and all for your kind words and please keep in contact and let me know how the children are getting on at their new schools-Always use me as a reference point for the children and if you have any concerns in the future and think I might be able to help don't hesitate to contact.

Regards Aleks G
