update on camping trip

Hello All,

Latest information on our forthcoming trip.

People who cannot come to camping are welcome to join us in Chatsworth House on Sunday 5th July. We will be going there on Sunday morning after packing up our tents so we should get there at about 10:30-11:00. We are not interested in going into the house but grounds are fantastic. It is also dog friendly.

Saturday 4th July

Below walk is nice and easy then we will drive towards Hope/Castleton. These towns are picturesque and we will visit Peveril Castle or Peak Cavern in that area. There are also nice pubs etc. where we can have our lunch. In the evening we can do a bbq and/or have some camp food. Helge will be also bringing his guitar. Sharon asked if you could get sports kits for your kids as it is Thomas' birthday wish to play a football game on that day. Sharon will get a cake to have a little celebration between us.

Just to confirm that the campsite is Ashbourne Hights, Fenny Bentley, Ashbourse, DE6 1LE and their phone number is 01335-350228?

I asked them about wi-fi and they said that one can either pay for wi-fi per day (£7), per hour (£4) or use their wi-fi but it can get busy and slow... For those who need wi-fi for work better book in advance and the gentleman said it has to be booked online, or at least that is what I understood.

That's good news! Please quote Montessori group when you make your booking. Provided that you go for non-electric pitch they will give us a designated area where we can be all together. This area is suitable to pitch up 10 tents. So far 5 families confirmed their attendance. There may be 3 more.

Hi Yaprak,

Great work.

We are now booked and looking forward to it.  Our tent is up in the garden and it is much smaller than we thought but we do fit in it, just about :)

For those who need to book still, do mention the Montessori School party so that we can all be close together.

Sharon, you mentioned that Lucky's crate would fit into your tent.  If the offer still up can we take it please as she will not fit into ours.  I have mentioned that there is another family with a dog coming.  Perhaps if you let them know when you book, we can pitch close together for dog's sake ;)

I don’t know if you have spoken with Sharon already but she said that they can have Lucky in their tent. If the two dogs distract each other from sleeping we can always have one of them in our tent.
