Metro Exodus update 1.02 is now rolling out players on PS4 and Xbox One. According to the official Metro Exodus 1.02 changelog, the new update adds stability and performance improvements. In addition, Metro Exodus version 1.02 also includes various fixes for crashing, stuttering, game client, and UI bugs.
In late 2013, a nuclear war occurred. Russia was targeted with atomic bombs, causing severe radiation across Moscow, forcing the rest of the people to live underground in the metro stations away from the deadly effects of radiation.
AMD launched it's PowerTune feature set with the Radeon 7000 series launch, and it allowed the card to achieve both higher max clocks and a lower idle state. PowerTune with Boost allows for both the dynamic clock and dynamic voltage controls. This is probably enabled by the fact that the core voltage of the Tahiti XT2 core was lowered to 1.02V, from the 1.175V of the original Tahiti XT core.
With regards to the driver, widescreen saw some good gains in Aliens vs. Predator and Metro 2033, and moderate gains in Dirt 3 and Heaven 2.5. This was moderated by flat performance in HAWX 2 and some slight declines in Mafia II and Shogun 2. In reality these last two benchmarks were only off by 1-2 fps, so I'd still call this flat (I'm sure the machine has accumulated a bit of cruft since the original benchmarking).
The total fps across the benchmark suite increased 2% in our selected tests, for 1080p widescreen. Eyefinity was a similarly mixed bag. Heaven 2.5 and Metro 2033 shows some gains, with Dirt 3, HAWX 2 and Mafia II flat. AvP and Shogun 2 posted single frame losses. Overall, only a 1% increase in Eyefinity.
The story is set in 2013, when the whole world is destroyed by a huge fire, most of the human race is extinct and the earth's surface becomes non-residential area filled with poisons and hazardous gases. Several strongest survivors take refuge in the depths of the Moscow underground, and human civilization enters a new dark age. In 2033 an entire generation has been born and raised in Moscow underground. These new cities now struggle for survival, not only among themselves, but especially against the mutants.
In Kyle Crane's room in the Tower, there is an acoustic guitar. Interacting with it will make him pluck a few notes. However, the player can find a book called "Learn the Guitar" which can be found on the mission to infiltrate the school with Jade in one of the rooms with another guitar. If the book is collected, the player can return to the Tower (or Erol's hideout), and then interact with the guitar again. Now, he will play a gloomy, acoustic version of the "Dying Light Theme (Good Night, Good Luck)", this can be also considered as a reference to the several pianos easter egg in Max Payne 3, in which Max doesn't play the main theme correctly but when progressing through the levels he plays the theme with no mistakes. This could also be a nod to the Metro 2033 series.
I've only reached the 3rd level (how many levels does it have in its entirety btw?), but so far it is a one of a kind game. Its theme heavily reminds me of Metro 2033 and the soundtrack is soothing and nostalgic. Obviously, it has its drawbacks, I'm not especially fond of the trial&error approach to a lot of death traps and other hazards that are there just to catch newcomers off guard.
