The first, FAH & SMP, included a link to a post in the restricted
forum in folding-community. Ivo probably didn't even notice because he
has the permissions to read that forum/post.
I and serveral other users of the wiki do not have those permissions.
I believe we should only include links to publicly available info, and
if we have info such as this located in the beta team forum for
instance, should either be marked as restricted or otherwise notify
the users of the special requirements applicable to that info.
Currently I know of two of this kind of posts, which I have named
"Restricted post" or something similiar.
What do you guys think?
The other issue is the link on the Third Party Contributions page, and
specifically the link to the Russion server of Folding Monitor & Farm.
I thought the spam filter blocked the whole .ru domain, but on closer
inspection the narod.ru domain is in the Custom Blacklist. FM&F is
hosted on a subdomain of narod.ru.
Should we remove the russian link, whitelist this specific subdomain,
or something else?

I think that marking it as restricted should be enough.

I restricted the black list blocking to the subdomain.

I think at least one of those links was actually me (oops). IMHO
restricted links shouldn't be in the wiki. If everyone cannot access
them, then what is the point? Beta-tester information should be kept to
the beta-forum, and if anything should be publicly accessible one of us
mods should move the appropriate posts (or partial posts) into the
public area.

For the moment just whitelisting the subdomain should be fine.

Just to be clear, I fully understand the honest mistake of posting the
links, if you're used to the ability to read such posts you take it
for granted and forget that others might not enjoy such privileges.
When I reread my post I noticed that it could be interpreted as a
hostile flame towards Ivo, which is absolutely not my intention.

I agree and have removed the restricted link in the CoreStatus_codes
page. No harm done :-)
