Some icons defaulting to default FO icon

For some applications, instead of seeing the application icon, FO is displaying the default 4 colour FO icon. Amazon Kindle APP, BBC iPlayer, Calculator, Calendar, Chrome. But most apps are still ok.

Out in the app drawer, all icons are as expected so this is some sort of bug in FO. You can change the icon in FO but the actual icon it should be is not available to choose.

I have the same issue with a large number of apps not bringing the icon over... Android 8 on Sony Experia..

Same on the pixel 2 xl. Does the developer even acknowledge the problem or offer a time frame for a fix? Been using this app for years without issues, but this is annoying
