What means the S in the S/Min Cadence number?

Cadence is a field from GPX or FIT files which is displayed to test if this has some meaning for pumping. Depending on the recorded device and the activity

this can have different meanings (Stroke / min for Rowing, Surfing or SUP or Pedal cadence for biking). Not sure this cadence information is meaningful for pumping?
