Customers are required to remit sales tax payments to the State in a timely manner. If sales tax is not paid by the 20th of the month following the month in which the sale took place, you may incur additional cost because of interest and penalty charges added to your base sales tax bill. For example, if your bill of sale is dated July 26, 2020, your sales tax would be due on August 20, 2020. If it is not paid on or before that date, interest and penalty charges would accrue.

Sales tax can also be paid prior to registration and/or titling at the Rhode Island Division of Taxation. If you are not able to visit the DMV in a timely manner to get your vehicle registered and remit sales tax to DMV prior to the tax due date, you may contact the Division of Taxation excise tax section to pay your sales tax directly before the tax due date to avoid the assessment of penalties and interest. Excise tax section can be reached at 401-574-8955 or via email tax.e...@tax.ri.gov.

Out-of-State Dealer Sales - An out-of-state dealer may or may not collect sales tax. Many dealers remit sales tax payments with the title paperwork sent to the DMV Central Services Division. See Out-of-State Dealer Sales for more information.

All plates issued to each dealer bear the same number with consecutive alpha suffixes. Plate size was changed in 2003. Both styles are valid if currently registered. Call WisDOT Dealer & Agent Section at (608) 266-1425 for inquiries.

Whether you're replacing a missing or damaged emblem - or adding an emblem to personalize your vehicle - we have ALL the official, factory nameplates and emblems at prices that will put your local Honda dealer to shame. Each Genuine Honda replacement Emblem and Nameplate features factory quality finish and shine, exact fitment, and all the mounting hardware you'll need.

NOTE: A lot of the emblems and nameplates on websites like Amazon and eBay are counterfeit. These emblems and nameplates do not match the look or quality of factory parts, and will often show signs of wear after just a few months of use. When you buy an emblem or nameplate, be sure to buy from an official Honda retailer like HondaPartsOnline.net.

Once you have established residency in Maine, you have 30 days to convert your registrations and titles (if any) to Maine. You take your out-of-state title and registration, as well as your insurance identification card, to your Maine municipal office (town of legal residence). Show them the out-of-state documents as well as your current proof of insurance and excise tax will be collected. Excise tax is an annual type of property tax on a vehicle. If there is a lien on the vehicle, you will need to provide the name and mailing address of the lien holder. Most Maine municipalities can complete a new registration and process your registration, to include issuance of plates. Please check with your municipal office to determine if they can complete a new registration. If your town does not process new registrations, you will be directed to the nearest BMV branch office where you will pay for the title and registration fees. Please note, you will be exempt from payment of sales tax if you are in possession of your current out-of-state registration certificate; however, a Maine Use (sales) Tax form must be completed.

If the webDEALER System is unavailable at the time of a retail sale, you must use an Internet-down tag and provide a buyer's receipt. You will enter sales information into the database once the webDEALER System is available again. This must be no later than the close of the next business day that you have access to the Internet.

* Note: SRC MOTO is located in Oregon which is one of the few US states without a general sales tax, so none is charged.
However, when shipping outside the USA, import tax, duties, and other local taxes may still be charged by the destination government or municipality.

The following models may require the cover plates if you want to run a velocity stack. Check out this video to help determine if you will need the cover plates! - How do I know if my Honda Shadow needs Cover Plates?

If you are unsure if you need these or not, take a look at the pics. There is a pic of the stock aluminum cover for the valve with hose connected to it, if you have one of these on the top of each head cover, then you can remove them and replace with the cover plates.

Because registering a vehicle in New Hampshire is a two-part process, there are fees due to both the town/city and to the State. For an explanation of fees, please see RSA 261:141 for state fees, and RSA 261:153 for town/city fees. In addition to the registration fees, there is an $8.00 plate fee for the first time you order plates.

Registering a vehicle purchased in a private sale: Present a properly assigned title certificate to the town/city clerk where you reside. Please provide proof of residency if you have not already done so as established by your town/city.

Registering a title-exempt vehicle purchased in a private sale: Present a proper bill of sale pursuant to RSA 261:148. You will also need proof of VIN which can be an original or copy of the title, a previous or copy of a New Hampshire registration, or a properly completed VIN Verification form. Please provide proof of residency if you have not already done so as established by your town/city.

To transfer a registration from a currently registered vehicle to another vehicle (for example you purchase a new vehicle and would like to put plates on it from another vehicle registered to you), you will need to bring your current registration of the plate you want transferred and proof of ownership for the new vehicle to the town or city clerk where you reside. Transfer credit is only allowed if the primary owner's name on the old registration and the new registration do not change. Please note: Once the plates have been transferred, the old vehicle is no longer legally registered and may not be driven on any roadway.

South Carolina law does not require mopeds to be titled, but titling your moped adds an additional layer of protection for yourself as the owner. In addition to having the model name, serial or other identifying number, date of sale, total cubic centimeters or wattage for engine, and new or used condition, you must also bring all of the following to a SCDMV branch:

The Wisconsin DNR provides registration services for ATVs and UTVs. Only those ATVs and UTVs that meet statutory definitions can be registered and used on public trails. There are many sizes of ATVs and UTVs available for purchase, but not all of them are eligible to be registered in Wisconsin or used on Wisconsin ATV/UTV trails. Vehicles that cannot be registered as ATVs or UTVs can to be operated on private land only, with the consent of the landowner. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation issues titles and/or registration (license plates) for some trailers.

ATVs and UTVs operating within the state and that meet the statutory definitions need to be registered as public use registration, private use-agricultural registration or private use-nonagricultural registration. Registration decals must be properly displayed. Proof of sales tax payment is required for all sales transactions. Sales tax paid to another state on the ATV or UTV may be claimed as a credit to reduce the sales tax payable. Any county tax or similar tax paid in the other state may be claimed as a credit to reduce county tax payable.

Upon transfer of ownership of an ATV or UTV that is registered for public or private use, the seller must give the ATV or UTV registration certificate card to the buyer at the time of the transfer. The buyer must complete an application for transfer within 10 days after the date of the transfer. ATV and UTV dealers are required to submit registration application to the DNR within 5 days after the date of sale and furnish the buyer with a validated (i.e. signed by dealership) registration receipt.

At the time of the sale, the Wisconsin ATV/UTV dealer will complete and submit an ATV/UTV registration application on your behalf. Your copy of the application form signed by the dealer or a temporary operating receipt must be carried with you while operating the ATV or UTV until your decals and registration certificate arrive in the mail. Dealers are to submit registration to the DNR within five days of the sale.

Nonresident 5-day trail use receipt can be purchased online or at any sales location. The 5-Day ATV/UTV trail use receipt must be carried by the operator at all times. Customers who order online can print their receipts at home or go to a Go Wild agent and receive one at time of purchase. There is no decal or sticker that is mailed when purchasing the 5-Day ATV or UTV trail use receipt.
