Itpremiered in SD01. Astral Dragon spirits are primarily Red, but also exist in other colors. They are of course, dragons, and are themed around the stars, including the sun, and various astronomical phenomenon.

Chosen as the main protagonist's color across the Battle Spirits Saga series, the red deck represents aggression, destruction, and the fight for freedom. Featuring the fire-breathing dragon marshals of the star tribe, red Spirits possess higher than average BP, and a special set of Nexus cards to amplify them even further.

Red also features two very important keywords: Awaken, which allows you to use cores from other Spirits, and sometimes even your opponent, and Confront, a taunt-like mechanic which forces your opponent to retaliate or perish. But in Battle Spirits Saga, deck building is an art in and of itself. Here are the best ten red cards you can use to win.

Flamefish is an excellent early game remover, packing a big punch for enemy Spirits with 4000 BP or less. At the cheap cost of one core after reduction and a soul core placed on the card, it is unheard of that a card this affordable can let you easily take hard hitters off the field.

Divine Halberd Dragon Arc is another card that is especially useful early on in the game. Targeting two-cost cards, which a lot of players strategically pack up on as a frontline and buff up using Nexus cards, Divine Halberd Dragon Arc is one of those dragon cards that are designed to give you the upper hand.

It is hard to find any deck without at least four Volcanic Break cards. This Magic card, which is aptly priced for mid-game attacks, lets you destroy either a 3000 BP Spirit or a 6000 BP Spirit, provided it has a soul core on it. In other words, it can save two or three of your other Spirits from perishing at the foot of an irate Rex at the measly cost of one soul core.

Volcanic Canyon is another drawing engine with a perk: it allows you to draw an additional card and throw out one from your hand. During your LV2 attack step, all your Spirits also gain 1000 BP, which can give you an edge against an overpowered lineup and help you make the best use of your deck when it comes to dealing damage.

Supernova Dragon Siegwurm Nova represents the core strength of the red deck, manipulating core distribution to your advantage. With proper care, this dragon can live for many turns, and burn even more in its wake.
