The series follows Russ and Lina Bowman, a long-time married couple who, when they are not fighting over debts, child rearing and their declining sex life, are reminded that their close friendship is what drew them together in the first place. Contrasting the Bowmans' lifestyle are their two close friends: A.J., a wealthy but unstable divorc, and Jess, a free spirit who struggles to settle down after marrying an older man.

On January 24, 2013, FX placed a pilot order under the working title of Untitled Andrew Gurland Project. The pilot was written and directed by Andrew Gurland. Gurland, Paul Young, and Peter Principato serve as executive producers, alongside FX Productions and Principato-Young Entertainment.[4]

Casting announcements began in April 2013, with Nat Faxon cast in one of the lead roles as Russ Bowman, one half of the lead married couple.[5] Judy Greer was the next actor cast in the role of Lina Bowman, the other half of the aforementioned couple, who is overwhelmed by her three young daughters and living in a new city with no friends.[6] Jenny Slate and Brett Gelman were the last actors cast in the series, with Slate cast in the role of Jess, an ex-party girl who is now married to an older guy who struggles to keep up with her. Gelman signed on in the role of A.J., an intense, recently divorced guy who is pretending that he's over his ex.[7]

On January 24, 2014, FX placed a series order under the title Married.[8] Paul Reiser then joined the series in the recurring role of Shep, Jess's older husband.[9] Shortly afterwards, Regina Hall was cast in the recurring role of Roxanne, A.J.'s ex-wife.[10]

On Rotten Tomatoes, the first season of Married has an aggregate score of 56% based on 20 positive and 16 negative critic reviews. The website's consensus reads: "In spite of superlative work from its talented stars, Married suffers from an unrelentingly grim portrayal of grown-up relationships."[33]

This is such a helpful guide! Definitely some good tips. I remember visiting vegas in February for WPPI last year and the weather was GORGEOUS! a little cool at night, nice and warm during the day, but not too hot. ?

I literally know nothing about Las Vegas, so this blog post about the best times of year to get married there totally blew my mind. You better believe I was one of those who thought it was hot all year long haha. Absolutely love those desert shots!

The only issue? Wedding venues often get booked up years in advance during peak wedding season (May-September) especially if you want a Saturday. Which I, of course, did. So when it came to picking our wedding date, our hands were actually forced a little, since the wedding venue we both loved only had one Saturday available for the whole of May, June and July the following year. And that date was in May.

Venue aside, another factor we considered when making the decision was the dress code. My fianc is half-Scottish and will most likely don his kilt on our wedding day. Having worn it enough times as a wedding guest, he knows better than I how uncomfortable that can get in the heat of summer.

Due to the increased demand during these wedding fever months, which is largely down to the school holidays and abundance of sunshine, those saying their nuptials during this time can expect to pay much more compared to other months of the year. Summer dates are quick to book up, so if you are hoping for a summer wedding get your wedding date confirmed and booked as soon as possible.

January tends to be the least popular month to say I do in. Why? The frosty weather, shorter days, and the post-Christmas spending ban after an expensive month makes it an unlikely choice for wedding dates.

If you have your heart set on a summer wedding, then you should probably prepare yourself for an expensive affair. Typically, during peak wedding season of May to October, and especially during the height of summer, wedding services and venues will be at their most expensive.

If you opt for a morning wedding, you may be expected to provide an elegant brunch, followed by a sit down meal in the afternoon and even some evening catering (such as a hog roast) to keep guests fed and help prevent your whiskey-loving cousin John from making too much of a fool of himself on the dance floor.

The standard lunchtime wedding slot with the follow up afternoon dinner and evening catering is a far-less expensive option, or alternatively you could even opt for a late afternoon wedding with just one sit down meal.

Then the Spring/Summer months are ideal, since these beautiful blooms are in season. Just make sure you have some spare vases around on the day so you can keep your flowers fresh, and avoid them being damaged by the strong summer heat.

So if you saw Sunday's episode you know now that it was Caleb and Ashley I was hinting to you about months ago in here - not to mention a certain fan correspondent (I'm looking at you Macy!) who managed to get Graham to spill the beans a bit - when it came out that there'd be a marriage on Heartland sometime in Season 4. Yes, it was a bit of a trick, because you all thought at the time that they were already married...

I usually only post photos on the Thursday before a new episode premieres, but because they would have given away the wedding I didn't post these. And there are so many good ones I thought you might want to see them, so here they are!

After all, viewers saw Chelsea and Jimmy continue to clash over their life together, while Clay and AD were focused on navigating past his uncertainty about marriage. As for Amy and Johnny, the couple shared their candid outlook on their future, which included differing plans on preparing for parenthood.

Keep reading to find out who said yes to each other at the altar and who went their separate ways, as well as the status of other Love Is Blind couples. (And remember, the drama surrounding season six doesn't end here: The show's reunion special is set to premiere March 13.)

As for Stacy, she was thankful to Izzy for opening her up "emotionally," but she didn't feel 100 percent about their future. "Fairly certain isn't good enough for me to say yes for the rest of my life," she explained.

After getting off to a rocky start after it was revealed Lydia was in a relationship with Milton's pod-friend Uche Okoroha before the show began, the geology-loving pair were the only ones to make it through the experiment still in a relationship.

Despite Kwame's mother refusing to attend the wedding and his arguably inappropriate conversations with Micah, whom he also connected with in the pods, Kwame and Chelsea were one of the three couples to exchange vows at the end of season four.

During the reunion, Chelsea revealed she has since met her husband's mom and Kwame offered an apology to his wife and her family for his behavior, saying his talks with Micah were "not the best representation."

After asking Bliss for a second chance, the pair defied the odds (and Bliss' dad's wishes) and both said "I do" at the altar. (And, no, they did not sit it out, enjoying that all important first turn around the dance floor to Lee Ann Womack's "I Hope You Dance," the song that bonded them in the pods.)

But a month later, the couple announced that "we have decided to go our separate ways" amid allegations that SK had been unfaithful. In a joint statement shared on social media in November, SK and Raven said, "Due to on-going legal proceedings surrounding these allegations, we cannot provide additional details and ask that you please respect our privacy during this hard time. Thank you for following our love story and believing in us."

Fans watched with dismay as Jackie chose to give Josh Demas, the other man she connected with in the pods, a second chance, meeting up with him before ending her engagement to Marshall.

However, during the reunion, Jackie set the record straight on the timeline of events. "I broke up with Marshall before I met Josh at the coffee shop," she said. "It looks like I'm a cheater. I am not a cheater."

As for Marshall, he told E! that he briefly connected with fellow contestant Kacia Clark after the show. "We tried," Marshall explained, "But I wanted to just distance myself from all of that from that experience."

While Nancy was ready to get married in the season three finale episode, Bartise revealed he was not so confident in their relationship. The update did not sit well with Nancy's family, who unapologetically sounded off on Bartise.

Despite the drama, Bartise and Nancy have maintained an on-again, off-again friendship. "We've gone from being friends to being acquaintances," he told E!, "to being completely no communication back to friends."

The two never seemed to be on the same page during their courtship, resulting in several skirmishes. Though Zanab and Cole made it to the wedding altar, Zanab declared, "You have disrespected me. You have insulted me. You have critiqued me. And for what it is worth, you have single-handedly shattered my self-confidence."

"We were going through all these bumps, but we were working through things and finding smoother waters," he told E! News. "And so I was hoping that we would at least be able to continue after the wedding if we didn't get married on that day."

On why she ultimately chose to go through with the wedding, Colleen told E! News, "As soon as I saw him cry and snort, I was like, 'That's my man.' So I knew that I was going to say yes as soon as I saw him."

While Deepti revealed to E! News that she is now single, her brother and Shake have been feuding on Instagram."'Shake', bruh, you're a loser," Deepti's brother Sunny and his partner Hina Merchant Vempati wrote in a joint Instagram. "You minimized my sister's life by making some awful and cringeworthy comments about her."

"He texted me numerous times he wanted to leave midway through filming because he still had feelings for me after we saw each other for [the] first time since our breakup at the reunion show taping," she revealed on Instagram, adding that she "encouraged him to continue filming."
