fog and mipmaps

Hi Guys,

does fog supports mipmaps? If not: it's planned or not, and if not: why not :)?

Hi,

Fog didn't support mipmaps, I may consider this kind of functionality in Blend if there is a strong argument to have it.

BTW: Fog is a discontinued project (check out blend2d.com that is something I'm working on), Fog won't be updated/used anymore.

Hi Peter,

thanks for reply, mipmaps are needed for smooth image zoom in/out (e.g. large photos terrain maps etc.) and perspective 2d transformations with descent image quality.
It's also usefull in moder GUI (phones, tablets) where smooth transitions comes into use at almost every tap on screen.
Are this arguments enought?
