In Dino Storm, you can be a Wild West Sheriff maintaining law and order in a hazardous, living world inhabited by bandits and prehistoric creatures. Awe-inspiring dinosaurs are doubling as mounts, waiting to be saddled and taken for a ride by the bravest heroes in gold rush town Dinoville.
The game is set in an alternate Old West where people ride dinosaurs and use laser guns. Players take on the role of lucky prospectors in a Wild West like gold rush. Arriving in the game's main hub city Dinoville after playing a brief tutorial, players soon face herds of prehistoric creatures as well as thieving gangs in their quest to earn wealth and fame while forming clans and alliances. Eventually players can make their way to the top of the town hall by getting elected Sheriff of Dinoville.
In the game, players take control of their human-like avatars ("rangers") and dinosaurs not as separate entities, but as one. They are tasked with helping the local residents of the game world, which in turn lets them progress in the game by means of evolving their dinosaurs, upgrading their laser guns as well as other equipment, and earning fame points.
You are a brave ranger, who is leaving for Dino Ville, where rich veins of gold have been discovered. With just a few dollars in your pocket, a little ammunition, loaded laser gun, and your small dinosaur, you make your way to the once quiet cowboy town.
Face gigantic herds of dinosaurs and merciless robber bands and start your thrilling search for valuable items. Set up supply camps, outposts, and goldmines, defend them against other player, and earn fame and respect. Only the best will manage to become the sheriff of the town.

- Domesticated Dinosaurs: Dinosaurs are treated in game like livestock and horses.
- Not just dinosaurs. The local equivalent of cattle is the extinct brontothere Megacerops.
- Energy Weapon: Every single gun in the game.
- Fragile Speedster: Coelophysis, the starter dinosaur.
- Glass Cannon: Carnotaurus. A level 6 Carno has less health than a level 8 Coelophysis, despite Coelo being far smaller! Further stat development may change this, however.
- Herbivores Are Friendly: Not always so. Among these hostile herbis are Alpha Parasaurolophus, Powerful Centrosaurus, and Violent Brontops (Megacerops). All of them will attack you on sight.
- Hub Level: The town of Dinoville serves this role, as it contains all of the game's important merchants and, initially, offered the missions whose rewards were needed to improve all of your dinosaurs and equipment.
- Jack of All Stats: Parasaurolophus.
- Mighty Glacier: None other than Brachiosaurus, though Ankylosaurus and Centrosaurus also fill this role.
- New Old West: The setting.
- Spikes of Villainy: Played Straight AND Subverted at the same time: high level hostile dinosaurs are covered in spikes, but so are high level ones ridden by the player.
- Sadly, Ankylosaurus, the first new dinosaur since the original lineup, only gains more armor. There's still a way to tell how strong an Ankylo is, at least.
- Thirsty Desert: One of the areas in game, Goldfields, is this. It's where most of the local gold mines and cattle ranches are located.
- 20 Bear Asses: Some quests require you to gather and deliver items, be it meat or messager's bags.
- Item Crafting: The Triforge, located in Dinoville, allows you to shove three (hence the "Tri") cosmetic items and money into it, and get a new item in return. People have shared their combos and successes with the Triforge, as it's a vital way of making your Ranger and dinosaur look the way you want.
Dinosaur, Colorado - Fire crews from Dinosaur National Monument and several other agencies are responding to a fire located north of the Yampa Bench Road, approximately two miles wet of Haystack Rock. This fire, called the Bench Fire, was spotted by the lookout in the Round Top Fire Tower after a storm moved over the eastern portion of the monument on Friday, July 22. Several other fires were ignited just east of the monument from this same storm. As of Saturday evening, July 23, the Bench Fire was between 400-500 acres.
The moniker \\\"Shou Hu Qian Long\\\" has been given to these fossils, with \\\"Qian\\\" symbolising their origin in Guizhou Province and \\\"Shou Hu,\\\" meaning \\\"safeguard\\\" in Chinese, alluding to the parental nature of the giant creature. Notably, these fossils were discovered back in 1999, marking the earliest instance where a dinosaur fossil preserved an attached egg with its embryo in the world.
