I suggest an option to move completed completed tasks to the last
page. This allows incomplete tasks to be grouped together on earlier
pages.

This doesn't sound at all like Autofocus.

Hi, You may be right or maybe this is electronic autofocus. Please
explain what is the value of having completed tasks intermingled with
incomplete tasks. With paper, you would not have an option. Also
remember, I suggested this as an option.
Interested in your answer....

Your suggestion could be a good one for some people, I don't know.  I personally use the Autofocus system as a way to filter my lingering tasks.  I know a task is becoming stale when it is one of the last active tasks on a page.  Working through the pages in this manner is a key component of Autofocus.  And I can't speak for Tony, but I see FocusPad emulating Autofocus in a paper environment.

One of the philosophical underpinnings of FocusPad is that todos are
always in chronological order. This way you don't waste your time
sorting them pretending that you are being productive :)

That said, the app does support the idea of copying tasks to the end,
but that is so they can be continued or repeated.

It does not really make sense to move completed tasks to the end. If
your goal is to archive them, a better option would be to
automatically move them to a separate pad. This type of automatic
trigger is something I could consider for a future version. I need to
mull over the pros and cons.

It is not about sorting them.
An archiving them is the same as moving them to the end. And by end,
I mean below new tasks that are added to the list at "the end of the
list".
So, instead of archiving, just put in a mass delete button that
deletes all completed tasks.

Now from the perspective of autofocus, I can see now why leaving them
on a page fits the system. You would delete he whole page when only
non-actionable tasks remain.

However, electronic writing should come with these other Options. I
might stray from the autofocus rules sometimes.

FocusPad is a great. Thanks.

FocusPad 2.0 will have more flexible paging options, so the idea of deleting or moving all tasks of a given status might make more sense. But this is further down in the feature queue.
