I am currently working on FocusPad 2.0, which provides three different paging schemes. Here are the basics:
  1. Fluid. The size of the page depends on the app: iPhone, iPad, or web. If you delete or move a todo, the todos after it move up so the pages stay full. Obviously todos end up on different pages depending on the app used.
  2. Fixed. Pages are a fixed size that you choose. Deleting or moving a todo does not move the other todos, so (1) a page may not be full (2) todos stay on the page they started on. Pages can be marked.
  3. Dated. Each page has a date. Todos are automatically placed a certain number of days ahead when created or duplicated.
The current FocusPad basically uses the Fixed scheme, but the todos move up on deletion like with the Fluid scheme. Not ideal behavior.

I believe your feature request is satisfied by using the Fluid scheme and adding some control over the font size.

May I suggest a button on both website main screen and the iPhone app
main screen to switch back and forth between long pages and short
pages?
Also, I would prefer if the phone and website long page options work
independently.
Lastly, in future revisions, you might make this length of the page
user defined as well as the size of the font (both web and iPhone).

I'm really excited about FocusPad 2.0

Will the different paging schemes be for each pad, or for all pads?
I'd love it if I could have different pads, each with their
appropriate paging scheme :o)

Each pad has its own paging scheme. I am going for ultimate flexibility this time around :-)

Sounds brill

Do you have any ideas for an approx release date?

Something else to consider: I notice that the order of the Pads when
doing a Copy/Move is not the same order as on the Pads screen. It
would be nice if they were consistent.

Great work!

Mark,

I am hoping to start the beta program next week. I have been using it myself for a while now, and it seems stable and useful enough to share.

I could sort the pads by most recently used. However, I am not sure if this is desirable behavior or not, since you would not "learn" where a pad was on the list. I will consider making it an option.
