Hello all.

As many of you have noticed, in recent months I have not been able to put the time or energy into FocusPad that it deserves. The product has tremendous potential, but it needs more attention and love than I have available.

This is all about to change. I am very happy to announce that Erik Westra is taking over the development of FocusPad. Erik is a seasoned iPhone developer, and he is very excited to get FocusPad back on track and then take it to the next level. He has been an active user on this group, and he understands what the Autofocus methodologies require and what users need.

Erik has already started working on the code, so version 2 is in active development again. As he dives in more he should be able to let everyone know what release dates he has in mind.

Over the next month or so I will be moving the groups, the web site, getsatisfaction, etc. over to Erik. I will continue to be an active participant in all discussions, but the final decisions about features, design, etc. will be Erik's. For the moment I will continue to develop and maintain the web site, but Erik might eventually take that over, too.

I am very excited about this change, and I feel that everyone will benefit from it. Let's all extend a warm welcome to Erik and help him make FocusPad great.

Nice to hear that development has been restarted :). As you know I went back to paper for now to try out Mark's new SuperFocus version 3 system which is working very well so far. I wanted to go to paper because Focuspad didn't really support the new system very well and I wanted to give it a fair chance. Once I am confident I have been using the system as intended and it keeps working well, I will think some more on what features I would like to see in Focuspad to support SFv3, so that I could potentially go back to iPhone.

Regards and good luck, Erik!

Tony thank you for letting us know and best wishes for whatever the
future brings for you. In particular I wanted to say thank you for
your support and responsiveness in sorting out some problems for me
last year. Service above and beyond, I think. I enjoyed using
FocusPad, though I'm using a different todo app at the moment, so I
look forward to hearing about its development in the future and giving
it another go sometime, especially if it can combine Mark Forster's
latest systems along with dated reminders! Good luck to Erik.
Thanks
Jane.
