The past two weeks have been some of the most dramatic in modern UK political history.
Nick Clegg first inspired me nine years ago – when I heard him speak at the ‘Keynes Forum’ – to throw all my energy behind the Liberal Democrat cause. He has now been introduced to the nation through the Party Leaders Debates. I am delighted that judging by the overwhelming response we have had both locally and nationally since the debates, Nick’s common sense approach and sound judgement has given you the same confidence as me in the contribution that the Liberal Democrat team would make to the future leadership of our nation. Thank you to all of you that have made donations to the campaign. New volunteers are coming on board the team every day and posters going up across the constituency.

TWO KEY THINGS WE NEED FROM YOU TO WIN HERE IN 10 DAYS TIME! 1. Come and deliver as many leaflets as you can. We need even more volunteers out every day for the next 10 days to deliver thousands more leaflets. Pick your leaflets up from Campaign HQ, 2 Upper Butts, Brentford TW8 8DA (tel: 020 8568 2209). We will also have lots of volunteers going out over the Bank Holiday weekend if you would like to join a leafleting team in the final push. 2. Sign up now to help on polling day – Thursday 6th May. If you can’t take the whole day off work, please sign up to help early in the morning or in the evening. Remember it is just a further 9% swing again to win in Brentford & Isleworth constituency. With your support through to the finish we can make a huge breakthrough here on 6 May.
