Hello, LARPers! Nat here.
I know what you're thinking: "Intercon K is almost here! And I've only printed one of the three games I'm running, and I need to get everything together for pre-con, and my costume for The Stand!"
OK, maybe I'm the one thinking that. Whatever.
While you're possibly thinking about Intercon and/or Larpercalia, I'd like to remind you that there is _another_ weekend of LARPs this coming season. It's called Palindrome, and it's the first-ever event from RPI's newest LARP organization, the PLOT (Pastafarian LARP Organization of Troy). Palindrome will take place from April 29-May 1.
And in even more exciting news, I'm happy to announce that the preliminary schedule of LARPs for Palindrome is now online! You can see it at our web site: http://palindrome.jointheplot.com
We're hoping to get signups open for games Palindrome really soon. In fact, if all goes according to plan, signups will open sometime next week! If you'd like to be notified when we're going to open signups for Palindrome games, please go to our web site and register for the con. It only takes a few minutes, and it's the best way to get yourself on our mailing list.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
(OK, more like "questions I expect to be asked")
Troy is far away. Why should I come to Palindrome?
Because RPI has a fantastic LARP community, and with Foam Brain having left the LARP business, its future is unclear. We in the PLOT are hoping to help LARPing continue at RPI, and Palindrome is the first of our events. We hope you'll continue to come out to Troy and support LARP there, whether it be PLOT events or those run by other groups!
Are you still accepting bids?
Yes! While we've got a really good and diverse set of games on the schedule, we could certainly use more, especially if a bunch of you are going to sign up, as I am confident you will. :)
Is housing available?
We're setting up a Festival-style housing swap. If you need housing, please sign up for the Housing Request events on Friday, Saturday, or both. If you live in Troy and are willing to let out-of-towners crash, please sign up for the Housing Offer events.
Where can I find out more about Palindrome and the PLOT?
Our main web site is
www.jointheplot.com. All the PLOTters will also be at Intercon K, shamelessly plugging Palindrome, and we'll be happy to talk your ear off about it if you ask.
I hear Foam Brain Games opened a store in downtown Troy. Should I visit them while I'm in town for Palindrome?
Yes. Yes you should.
