Hey folks - sorry if you're getting this more than once.
I just wanted to point out some upcoming events at RPI you all might be
interested.
First up - we're extraordinarily excited to have announced our Spring
weekend long game will be 1897: Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee, by the
same people who brought you Torch of Freedom last year. People had a blast
with that game, and this one is another exciting historical epic.
In this case, all of the characters are either actual historical figures or
fictional characters from that time period.
We need your help though - this game is *very* big - and we would really
like to get lots of people to play. So please pass along the flyer, convince
your friends to sign up, etc :-) The blurb is at the bottom of the email
(and an expanded version is in the flyer).
You can get the flyer at
http://www.foambrain.com/downloads/jubilee.pdf
(which contains a handy list of other events coming up as well) and you can
sign up at
http://1897.foambrain.com.
Secondly - everyone had so much fun at the Halloween party, that I decided
to hold a holiday party. It will be December 12th at my house, from 6pm or
so until whenever (people are welcome to crash here if need be, but you
might want to talk to me first). We're *also* going to be holding a LARP at
my house a few hours before the party (at noon to be exact). This game is
somewhat different than the normal style of LARP we run - it's fairly
serious and an entirely political game. It's called High Crimes and
Misdemeanors and its by Gordon Olmstead-Dean. For more information, please
check the HC&M signup page on Journey at
http://www.journeysurveys.com/answer/prompt/154.
Third - RPI will be hosting a LARP Iron GM competition in late Jan (22-24).
I actually only have limited amounts of information about this one (it's not
my event), but I'll make sure info gets passed along when there's more.
Fourth - RPI's spring weekend of minigames will be April 9-11, 2010. I am
sure there will be plenty of more information about this in the future, but
in the meantime, if you have a game you would like to run, please get in
touch with me.
As usual - if you have questions, comments, or just need someone to tell you
how cool you are (well, no promises on that one), I'm always available by
AIM: WizOfAwz, Skype: Zrealm, and email And...@Foambrain.com. If you're not
on the FB Skype chat, you should come join us - it's a lot of fun :-)
