Failed to create X.509 Certificate

On http://foaf.me/Tests/simple_KEYGEN_CreateClientCertificate.php :

1. I enter "http://csarven.ca/#i" for the FOAF URI input field and
"Sarven Capadisli" for the commonName and submit the form.

2. My Firefox generates a private key.

3. It than redirects to a page and says "Please use the following
secure uri to download the Identity P12" with a long URI.

4. Following the URI (http://foaf.me/spkac_cert.php?...) to download
the Identity P12, gives this error:

Failed to create X.509 Certificate

Using configuration from /usr/share/ssl/openssl.cnf

Hi,

Thanks for reporting this bug. I have fixed now. Caused by our recent move to AWS.
The location of the SSL configuration file is slightly different.

[ Aside the https URL of this script is a little  easier to use. https://foaf.me/Tests/simple_KEYGEN_CreateClientCertificate.php ]

There are some other load/performance issue I am current looking at.
So if you notice anything else please feel free to let me know.
