I entered my info, clicked "save", clicked that little link to the
left saying "test" before clicking that link for getting a cert, and
voilá - nickname registered and unusable. I tried to go back and
generate a cert, but it did no good. I still can't log in.

Hi,

Sorry to hear to you are having problems.

Yes the allowing people to try the test button before creating the Certificate is a usability issue.

Not sure if you are saying you could generate the certificate or not.

If not because the nickname has gone please try this

http://foaf.me/index.php?webid=/foaf.me/nickname (replace nickname with whatever you tried before)
On the security tab you can press the "Claim Account" button.

If you did generate a certificate. Please bear in mind your browser (due to browser's certificate selector issues) will probably not let you try to select a another certificate. So you may need to close the browser down.

If you are still having issues please ping me your nickname and I will look into it further.

Thanks

Yeah, I tried that. I've got a cert for it now.
I also have login problems now and then, but it works right now. I
still haven't been able to log in to that one even though I got the
cert, but I made a new one.

My current issue is not being able to update the profile.
"Fatal error: Call to a member function update_sql() on a non-object

No sql error now, but the profile's "Me" page is not updated.

No sql error now, but the profile's "Me" page is not updated.

http://foaf.me/index.php?webid=http://foaf.me/Natanael90 - No
"Science" in interests.

That's because we use FOAF Vix for the display at present, and they sometimes cache old copies for a short period.  The interests are in your FOAF and will come into the display shortly.  Will take a look and see if it's possible to disable the cache ...

BTW, I'd like syntax higlighting in the editor. Would a regular XML
highlighter work?
