Hi,

I tried to used the fo-dicom DICOM Print SCU and it's working very well with DICOM Print SCP (fo-dicom).
But if I try to use the same DICOM Print Client with some others Print SCP (like charruasoft, jdicom "PrintServerDummy", or some Dry Film imager), I couldn't send image.
I received some error about ProtocolVersionNotSupported.
Someone have a fix or an idea?

Many thanks,

Adil

Adil,

Please provide more details about the exact error messages. Which fo-dicom version are you running?

Hi,

Thank you for your help.
I used this two branches master and development found on github (https://github.com/fo-dicom/fo-dicom)
And both PrintSCU returned the same exception raised on Dicom.Network.DicomAssociationRejectedException

Association rejected [result: Permanent; source: ServiceUser; reason: ProtocolVersionNotSupported]

If you want to reproduce the same trouble you can use,the printscp that I always use
to validate "real" dryer is the PrintSCP of jDicom (http://members.chello.at/petra.kirchdorfer/jdicom/)

Many thanks again.

I have tried to send to the Print SCP Emulator in the DVTk validation tool (http://dicom.dvtk.org/modules/wiwimod/index.php?page=DVT&cmenu=products), and I don't get any association rejections with this Print SCP. Maybe you can try the DCMTK dcmprscp application to see how that behaves?

I am definitely not an expert in DICOM printing, so this is pure guessing. The fo-dicom Print SCU implementation sends N-CREATE, N-SEND, and N-ACTION requests to the Print SCP. Could that be an issue?

Hi,

Thanks again.

I noticed that "standard" Print SCU starts the association and negociated with some presentations contexts like Basic Grayscale Print Management Meta (1.2.840.10008.5.1.1.9) (and some others like Basic Color Print Management Meta, Presentation LUT,...) with associated transfer syntax.
This week I will try directly with the DryView 8900 and after I will try with DCMTK dcmprscp application if the connection failed like now in my office with jdicom PrintSCP.

I will keep you inform and thank you again to have a look on it.

Best regards.

Hi again,

So the print scu didn't work at all with Kodak DryView 8900.
I tried to debug at customer site but without any success because they didn't let me enough time to debug! :(
I got the same trouble with my emulator PrintServerDummy of jdicom (http://members.chello.at/petra.kirchdorfer/jdicom/install/platforms/Windows/NoJvm/jinstall.exe)

So, hope someone had a clue or a fix!

Today, I will try with dcmtk as Print SCP.

Thanks.

Adil
