Recently, an LLS staff member attended a “Celebration of Life” for a 6 year old girl who earned her angel wings after a 1-year battle with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Here is a picture of young Sophia before her cancer diagnosis.
Sophia decided that she would be the one to tell her brothers that she would be earning her angel wings. So she did – but came out with this superhero suit on! The strength of this little girl is amazing.
She, and every patient that has lost their battle or are currently fighting their battle, are the reasons we are asking people to fund the mission of LLS. Please make a donation today so that children like Sophia do not have to announce to their families that they’ve lost the battle to cancer.
