Public Release of FMRD-Desktop 1.0.2

[Football Match Result Database: Announcements]

This post announces the release of FMRD-Desktop version 1.0.2.

FMRD-Desktop is a Qt- and PostgresSQL-based GUI application that
facilitates data entry into the Football Match Result Database (FMRD).
The FMRD maintains match result data in order to support football
(soccer) analytics research and development. The features of the
Football Match Result Database include the following:

• Maintain data on matches that occur within football league
competitions, whether among national teams or domestic clubs.

• Maintain complete information on participating personnel, such as
players, managers, and match referees.

• Maintain complete top-level information on the football match,
including match date, competition name and stage, participating teams,
venues, and environmental conditions.

• Maintain complete information on macro-events that occur during a
match, including goals, penalties, disciplinary incidents, and
substitutions.

The FMRD and its related data-entry applications are free software and
are distributed according to the GNU General Public License (GPLv3).
