Deputies ID woman killed in Harris Co. hit-and-run today
A New Waverly woman was killed in a hit-and-run collision when she was run down by a vehicle on FM 1960 in north Harris County early this morning.
Rosie Mitchell, 52, died in the collision, which occurred on FM 1960 near Aldine Westfield about 3 a.m. Friday, according to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office.
Deputies said Mitchell died at the scene.
Mitchell was either walking in a lane of traffic on FM 1960 or attempting to cross the road when she was hit by a vehicle that was
