Constable Pct. 4 crime briefs for Oct. 4-8

Updated: 10.10.08
Harassing calls plague complainant

On Oct. 8, Precinct 4 Deputy Lee responded to a call of harassment in the 15300 block of Fir Woods.

The complainant had been receiving harassing telephone calls for some time, and recently received seven calls in a three-hour period.

An investigation identified a possible suspect, and the complainant was advised on what steps to take to assist in the prosecution of the suspect.

This case is currently under investigation.

Three men rob Windfern Road store

On Oct. 4, Pct. 4 Deputy Scardino responded to a call of a robbery in the 8200 block of Windfern Road.

The complainant stated that three men entered his store, one of which produced a handgun.

The men then took approximately $1,192 in cash from the register, coins from the coin operated machines and the security video recorder.

As no one was injured, Scardino completed a report, had the scene photographed and referred the investigation to Harris County detectives.

Man’s car taken by acquaintance

On Oct. 7, Pct. 4 Deputy Harrison responded to a call of an auto theft in the 14400 block of Keystone Green.

The complainant said someone he knew stole his car. He had allowed the woman to use his car in the past, but did not give his consent for her to take the car on the last occasion.

The complainant sent a letter demanding return of the car, but after 10 days, no response had been received. The vehicle has been entered as stolen in state and federal computer systems, and the felony case is currently under investigation.
