An employee was fatally shot during a robbery at a fast-food restaurant on FM 1960 late Friday, the Harris County Sheriff's Department said.
Close to midnight, two masked robbers demanded money at a Wing Zone restaurant in the 1900 block of FM 1960 West.
As a restaurant employee and an assistant manager attempted to collect cash for the men, one of the robbers shot the employee, authorities said.
Investigators with the Harris County Medical Examiner's office identified the employee as Miguel Figueroa, 42, of Houston. Figueroa was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he later died, the Sheriff's Department said.
